We’ve seen him in blurry photos. We’ve seen him in a set video. Now we’ve got our best look yet at Michael Keaton – or his stunt double – fully suited up on the set of Batgirl!
Once again, the incredible team at @BatgirlFilm on Twitter has been able to get their hands on photos from the set. These photos certainly show that Keaton’s Batman will sport an updated costume either in or following his appearance in The Flash.
Once again it appears the team were filming a flashback sequence. J.K. Simmons is sporting his younger Jim Gordon look and other reports spotted the actors playing his wife and young Barbara as part of the shoot.
It’s safe to say that at some point in the film the young Barbara Gordon will cross paths with the Dark Knight kicking off her journey to become the legendary Batgirl.
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Batgirl is written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, The Flash) and produced by Kristin Burr. Starring as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl is Leslie Grace. The film co-stars J.K. Simmons, Michael Keaton and Brendan Frasier.
The film is rumoured to release later this year.
