Warner Bros. has confirmed that in the run up to the April 8th release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore the Wizarding World Wand installation will head out on a UK tour.
The four chosen locations on the tour – Hull, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and Reading – were voted for by the public and will each host the exciting installation for seven days. Last summer, the wands spent some time in London’s Leicester Square where we got to check them out in all their wizarding glory:
Hull, which received the most public votes, will launch the tour, followed by Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and ending in Reading. The full dates and locations are:
- Hull, Queen Victoria Square – 2nd – 8th March
- Birmingham, the Bullring – 11th – 17th March
- Stoke-on-Trent, Smithfield – 21st – 27th March
- Reading, The Oracle Shopping Centre – 30th March – 5th April
Standing 15 feet tall and set within concrete bases, the nine wands – bringing to life those belonging to some of the favourite characters in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films – will illuminate each evening, performing a light show to the thrilling music from the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter films.

The latest instalment in the Fantastic Beasts franchise features an ensemble cast, including Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law (“Cold Mountain,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley”), Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylum, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Oliver Masucci, Valerie Pachner, and Mads Mikkelsen.
The film was was directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling & Steve Kloves, based upon a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film was produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wigram and Tim Lewis. Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti and Michael Sharp served as executive producers.
