Production continues on HBO Max’s Batgirl film and another round of night shoots has brought us yet more footage of the hero in action. The production appears to be continuing its surveillance of the Bressi facility in Gotham, with scenes showing Batgirl keeping a very close eye on events down on the streets below.
Eagle-eyed fans caught some excellent footage of Leslie Grace suited up and also what could be our best look at the costume in action.
You’ll notice that Barbara is wearing a set of goggles over her cowl. These have been spotted over the last couple of night shoots and seem to be forming part of her surveillance gear. Another tool ripped right from the pages of Batgirl comics.
During the day the cast were also spotted shooting scenes around the same area with Grace in her casual Barbara attire. She was seen in multiple shoots alongside Jacob Scipio and Ivory Aquin as the trio casually browsed a street food market. We’ve now also got a first look at Barbara’s wheels as it seems it’s not just Batgirl who has a thing for motorcycles…
Here’s a few more shots of Leslie suited up:
Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Batgirl is written by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, The Flash) and produced by Kristin Burr. Starring as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl is Leslie Grace. The film co-stars J.K. Simmons, Michael Keaton and Brendan Frasier.
The film is rumoured to release later this year.
