We’re just two days away from the debut of James Gunn’s Peacemaker in the US. With the first three episodes debuting on HBO Max, Gunn is now turning his attentions to finishing up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and his next DC project.
Speaking with Collider whilst promoting the upcoming DC show, Gunn was asked if he has any future projects planned within the DC Universe. Confirming the news Gunn said “You know, we’re stepping forward. It keeps happening. We’ll see what’s happening, and I’ll know what’s happening very shortly. I dealt with it last night and this morning. […] It’s TV. There you go.”
Whilst there’s no news on what this latest project might be, we’re excited to see what Gunn has planned next. Could it be another character from The Suicide Squad? Or could Gunn be taking on something entirely new?
Peacemaker, written and produced by James Gunn, stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The series will debut on HBO Max on January 13, 2022 and will consist of eight episodes.
