Audiences in the US are just two days away from the premiere of James Gunn’s Peacemaker. The series stars the returning John Cena as Christopher Smith, aka Peacemaker. This time around he’s bringing some new faces to the screen as well as a couple of familiar ones.
To celebrate the upcoming release, DC Comics has released a series of new video profiles meeting the supporting cast of the upcoming show. Get to know the villains and villains (there are no heroes!) of the peace in readiness for the series’ three-episode premiere.
First up we have two returning cast members from Gunn’s The Suicide Squad: Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt and Steve Agee as John Economos. When we last saw both Harcourt and Economos they were working for Amanda Waller and not happy about their new babysitting mission with Christopher Smith…
It looks like both Harcourt and Economos have a new boss with Peacemaker hits screens. Meet Chukwudi Iwuji’s Clemson Murn aka the new boss.
Now let’s meet two of the other members joining the team this time around. First up we have Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) who appears to be the only one who actually likes Peacemaker.
Last up we have Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante. This version is drastically different to the one you might have seen on Arrow. Instead Stroma’s version of the character is a little more trigger happy and deluded. We can’t wait to see him in action!
Peacemaker, written and produced by James Gunn, stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl. The series will debut on HBO Max on January 13, 2022 and will consist of eight episodes.
