It sounds like Warner Bros., DC Comics and The Rock’s production company, Seven Bucks Productions, have some big plans for the future. In a new interview with Collider, studios president Hiram Garcia has been discussing plans following this year’s Black Adam.
Speaking of the multitude of Justice Society characters being introduced in the upcoming film, Garcia revealed that Seven Bucks are currently developing ideas for spinoff projects.
“We introduce a lot of new characters in here, and a lot of these characters are big fan favorites, so we’re currently working on spinoffs that we can do for some of those characters. You’re going to start to hear announcements regarding some of these characters and who we’re going to finally be able to tell a little bit more on going forward. It’s a lot of paperwork involved. You got to sort it through before you say anything too definitive.”
Asked whether this could follow the format of The Batman series coming to HBO Max, Garcia added “It’s a great time right now to do what we do and to have so many opportunities to tell these stories. It’s just about picking the ones that rise to the top for us and help contribute to the overall vision that we have for this universe, so we’re fully in it, and there’s going to be more coming out.”
