After plenty of Covid-related delays, Universal Pictures is finally beginning to lift the lid on the next film in the Jurassic Park franchise. We’re still 7 months away from the release of Jurassic World Dominion but we do have a new look at the film today, courtesy of Total Film.
As part of their huge 2022 movie preview, Total Film has shared this new look at Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) as she appears to be at the mercy of the mighty Indoraptor. Given that she is already bloodied and bruised, things are not looking good for the one-time park manager.
In an interview snippet released alongside the still director and co-writer Colin Trevorrow discussed how Dominion will balance both the new and legacy casts from the franchise:
“Laura [Dern], Sam [Neill], and Jeff [Goldblum] have as much screentime in the film as Bryce [Dallas Howard] and Chris [Pratt] do,” Trevorrow explains. “They’re not together the entire time, but we are following both of their stories equally, and you have a sense that they’re going to collide at a certain point… there’s this tension. It’s not structured necessarily in a way that we’re used to seeing our Hollywood movies structured. But it works.”
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World: Dominion stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Jake Johnson, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Omar Sy, Isabelle Sermon and B.D. Wong. The film is set to hit cinemas on June 10, 2022.
