The Past Returns To Haunt Neo In New THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS Teaser

A new teaser for Warner Bros. THE MATRIX RESURRECTIONS teases the film’s connection to previous movies ahead of December release.

Now we’re in December, the final countdown is on for the release of Lana Wachowski’s The Matrix Resurrections. Last night Warner Bros. dropped a new teaser, dubbed “Deja Vu,” which teases some interesting connections between Resurrections and the original trilogy.

The teaser (below) functions as a series of clips from across the franchise, tying key moments to shots from the upcoming film. It looks like history may be doomed to repeat itself but what does this mean for our hero Neo (Keanu Reeves)?

As well as this new teaser a pair of TV spots have surfaced courtesy of a couple of Matrix fan accounts on social media. There’s a few new scenes although nothing hugely spoiler-y, we’re certainly intrigued by Neo and Trinity (Carrie-Ann Moss) watching footage of themselves on TV however…

The Matrix: Resurrections stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jona, Chrstina Ricci, Telma Hopkins, Eréndira Ibarra, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Brian J. Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The film will be released nationwide on 22nd December 2021 by Warner Bros. Pictures. All three films in the original trilogy are available to own digital and on 4K Ultra HD now.
