According to a report by Variety the upcoming Ahsoka Tano series at Disney+ has cast Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren. Sabine was first introduced in Star Wars: Rebels and it didn’t take long for her to become a fan favourite. With her fun attitude, unique armor and passion for graffiti, Sabine became an instant favourite among the variety of new characters introduced in the animated series. Unfortunately, when Rebels ended… She vanished off the radar.
Until today, that is. With The Mandalorian being such a major success and Boba Fett getting his own series, it only feels right to bring another Mandalorian back into the fold. Rebels ended with a massive cliffhanger. The show was basically begging for a follow up but it never happened. With Thrawn and Ezra Bridger lost in space, Sabine and Ahsoka began their quest to find their missing friend… That was almost 4 years ago now.
Bordizzo is known mostly for her role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, The Greatest Showman, Guns Akimbo, and Netflix’s The Society.
Could Ahsoka pick up where Rebels left off? We certainly hope so.
We still don’t really know a lot about Ahsoka. However, previous rumors may have given us a brief idea as to what we can expect. Although, with the addition of Hayden as Anakin, there may be more to the Disney+ series than meets the eye.
Check out the alleged description below:
“Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) is on the hunt for the evil Grand Admiral Thrawn in the hope it will help her locate the missing Ezra Bridger, the young Jedi that disappeared with Thrawn many years ago.”
