The X-Men are back! As part of the Disney+ Day celebrations the studio has confirmed that a revival of the 1990’s cartoon is coming in 2023.
Now under the Marvel Studios banner, X-Men ’97 will explore new stories in the timeline of the iconic cartoon and will bring back a number of the series’ voice cast. Returning to the show are Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler), Christopher Britton (Mr. Sinister), Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Chris Potter (Gambit), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), and Alyson Court (Jubilee).
According to The Wrap, the series will also introduce a number of new faces and voices to the franchise. New voice casting additions include Jennifer Hale, Anniwaa Buachie, Ray Chase, Matthew Waterson, JP Karliak, Holly Chou, Jeff Bennett, and AJ LoCascio.
Disney has confirmed that Beau DeMayo is acting as Executive Producer and head writer with original series producers Eric and Julia Lewald and director Larry Houston will all consult on the new episodes.
X-Men ’97 will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2023.
