Review
The world of Power Rangers is heating up and the stories coming from it are getting more and more intense as they come, issue #12 from the Mighty Morphin arc is definitely the most intense story from the series so far with the fight against the Empyreal threat taking a mighty step forward with possible catastrophic consequences for the world as we know it.
It’s down to Zordon to try and fix things with his only hope to stretch out a hand and plea to Lord Zedd to form some sort of alliance to defend themselves, but I personally don’t think I would trust Lord Zedd to help me in a battle, I still think he definitely has hidden motives and knowing Zedd from old you just know all isn’t what it seems.
Zordon and Zartus see their once united alliance crumble before them as the truth appears and breaks a centuries old bond that will never be fixed, what will this mean for Zordon? Also what will this mean for Earth? This is the story I have been waiting for, full on edge of the seat stuff that looks like it will result in an epic battle to the death and maybe change the face of Power Rangers as we once knew.
Once again Ryan Parrott proves he is the man to take this Power Rangers universe forward, Mighty Morphin is a series that has brought back the love of Power Rangers that I once had, every book is an epic read giving you that tunnel vision effect, when you’re reading it nothing else matters, each story grips me further into the universe and it’s something I don’t want to end. Marco Renna provides the artistic flare that brings each page bursting to life with imagination grabbing art that brings the words on the page to life, I don’t think they could’ve picked a more perfect creative team for these storylines.
Verdict
Issue #12 goes without saying was an amazing read, each and every issue so far has grown and grown, The Eltarian War sounds to be the most epic comic of our time the way the big stories have ended with them to be continued in that arc so I genuinely can’t wait to see where it is going to go, one thing for sure it will be one not to be missed.
