It was recently confirmed that the director of Tenet, Inception and The Dark Knight, Christopher Nolan, is moving away from Warner Bros. to create his next feature film; a biopic about J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Recently, Deadline gave Nolan fans an idea of what to expect from the director’s first biopic and we now know which studio will be backing and distributing his twelfth movie – Universal Pictures. It is official, Christopher Nolan will be moving away from Warner Bros. for the first time in over twenty years to create a movie about the scientist who oversaw The Manhattan Project and created the first atomic bomb.

The move to Universal Pictures is most certainly due to Nolan’s opinion on the whole HBO Max releases for all of WB’s 2021 releases and how Warner screwed over all their talent. There has been a report that Warner Bros. did try to get the acclaimed director back but, obviously, a deal has not been made. This is huge news for Christopher Nolan and that his Oppenheimer biopic is surely getting made in the coming years.

We will keep you posted once more news is announced for this project.
