We knew these were coming. In fact, we’ve been desperately waiting for them to drop after watching Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. We’ll be honest, they dropped sooner than we thought but that isn’t a complaint. Just look at Shang-Chi… And guess what? Shang-Chi is just the beginning. Hot Toys spoiled us this week with not just one figure reveal, but two… All we can say is enjoy.
Shang-Chi will be ready in early 2023 and will cost roughly $250 (£185). He is available to preorder now directly from Sideshow Collectibles. Come on, we know you want to. What’s interesting to note about this particular figure is that there are more additional accessories coming soon. At the moment, Shang-Chi is limited to his staff and necklace. What could be next? Well, we can definitely expect some Rings and maybe some additional weapons but other than that… The rest is a mystery. A mystery that we’re incredible excited to see unravel.
It’s hard not to be impressed, right?
That brings us nicely to Hot Toys’ next triumph. Shang-Chi focuses heavily on the strained relationship between Shang-Chi and his father Wenwu. Well now you can put father and son against each other in an epic fight for control over The Ten Rings. Say hello to the original Mandarin and a contender for father of the year- Tony Leung’s Wenwu.
Just like Shang-Chi, Wenwu will be ready in early 2023 and will cost roughly $250 (£185). He is also available to preorder now. If we could only pick one… We would definitely struggle. Both figures are absolutely amazing. From their detailed costumes to their immaculate face sculpts. We probably say this every time a new Hot Toy drops, but the likeness is incredible. Once again, they absolutely nailed it. Choosing seems somewhat impossible especially since they are both new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which figure would you pick? The heroic Shang-Chi? Or the villainous and immensely powerful Mandarin? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check out more collectible news right here.
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, who must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization. The film also stars Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan, as well as Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng.
