Review
Well this is it the final issue of The Many Deaths of Laila Starr bringing an end to an interesting story arc, a story that has been developing over the weeks and leading up to the finale we have here.
Ram V brings an emotional end to a story that saw the myth of gods played out in a reality setting, tieing together the loose ends of the story and bringing the arc to it’s natural ending.
Starr finally catches up with Darius and finding out that he, in fact, was looking for her with the story not taking the path we may have thought where they wanted to kill each other. Laila was looking for the answer to immortality but does Darius hold the key or even the answer?.
Ram V writes a story that pulls on the heart strings and emotionally ties up a unique storyline in a great way also in a way that puts to rest a story that still makes you think about what you’ve read, it really is a great piece of writing.
Once again the unique and quirky illustrations from Andrade makes the story come alive on every page keeping the reader engaged right up to the very last page, using bold and bright colours really makes the comic jump out on the page.
Verdict
Issue #5 is the perfect ending to the story arc bringing it neatly to an end, great work done by all the creative team.
