Huge news for Star Trek fans today. It’s been confirmed by Deadline that Marvel Runaways actress Annie Wersching is joining the cast of Star Trek: Picard season 2.
Wersching will recur across the season as an old friend of Admiral Picard’s… the Borg Queen!
Plot details are unavailable at this time but it is noted that Wersching will appear in a number of episodes. Wersching will be the third actor to take on the role. She follows Alice Kridge who originated the role in Star Trek: First Contact before reprising the role in the series finale of Star Trek: Voyager.
The role was also played by Susanna Thompson in a number of Voyager episodes prior to the finale.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 sees Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Terry Matalas, Michael Chabon, Doug Aarniokoski, Dylan Massin, Patrick Stewart, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers; Aaron Baiers and Kirsten Beyer serve as co-executive producers.Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas serve as co-showrunners for Season 2.
