Earlier this year we learned that The Flash season 8 would open with a 5-part event. A crossover of sorts but not in the traditional sense. Now The CW has revealed more details on the event including the name of some high-profile returning cast members.
The event, titled Armageddon, kicks off the eighth season when it returns in November. Instead of five episode across the version Arrowverse shows, each will be an episode of The Flash.
When a powerful alien threat arrives on Earth under mysterious circumstances and Barry (Grant Gustin), Iris (Candice Patton) and the rest of Team Flash are pushed to their limits in a desperate battle to save the world. But with time running out, and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.
Joining Barry Allen in his fight to save the world will be Javicia Leslie as Batwoman, Brandon Routh as The Atom, Cress Williams as Black Lightning, Chyler Leigh as Sentinel, Kat McNamara as Mia Queen, and Osric Chau as Ryan Choi. Tom Cavanagh will also return as Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash and Neal McDonough will appear as Damien Darhk.
The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, and Jesse L. Martin as Joe West.
The series airs returns November 16, 2021 to The CW in North America.
