Showtime has confirmed the return date for everyone’s favourite former blood spatter analyst, Dexter Morgan. Dexter will return for its ninth season, subtitled New Blood, on November 7 in the US.
The 10-episode revival finds Michael C Hall’s Dexter living a brand new life in the town of Iron Lake. Now going by the false name Jim Lindsay he soon finds circumstances circle him back towards his old habits.
During the series’ ComicCon@Home panel at the weekend, showrunner Clyde Phillips said “One of the things that Michael insisted on, and he was completely right, was that this not be Dexter season 9. This is not the next moment after the lumberjack moment. We pick up with Dexter in another place, in another world, actually, as far away from Miami as possible.”
