Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that it is bring the complete series of Smallville to Blu-ray for the first time. This October fans will be able to bring home all 218 episodes of the classic series in high-definition, celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary.
The collection boasts nearly 30 hours of bonus content to take viewers deeper in to the series lore. Fans will also be able to watch the pilot for 1961’s The Adventures of Superboy starring Johnny Rockwell as a young Clark Kent. That series would also have explored the Man of Steel’s early years.
Additionally, the set will feature a retrospective on the series’ 10 year journey which promises a “season-by-season look” at Smallville’s production. This featurette comes complete with cast interviews and rare behind-the-scenes footage. Tom Welling (Clark), Erica Durance (Lois Lane), Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor), Phil Morris (J’onn J’onzz), John Schneider (Jonathan Kent), and more will appear to discuss the series’ long standing legacy.
Fans will also be able to dive back in to bonus features originally made available on the series DVD releases.
Smallville: The Complete Series hits stores on October 19.
