The third season of The CW’s Batwoman has been on a casting spree recently. Following the additions of Robin Givens and Victoria Cartagena, the series has now added a further series regular to its roster.
Deadline has exclusively confirmed that Nick Creegan has signed on to portray the role of Marquis Jet. A sexy playboy who grew up in a lavish lifestyle, Marquis is too charming for his own good and wields his power with a ne’er do well attitude. He views life as one big joke and that sense of recklessness has a tendency to clash horribly with his no-nonsense mother Jada Jet (Givens). When he meets Ryan (Leslie), he sees in her a like-minded young go-getter who like him is just waiting for the right opportunity to make his mark on Gotham.
The season 2 finale of Batwoman saw Ryan learn that her mother, presumed dead during childbirth was in-fact alive. Given the description of Given’s character it’s not hard to assume Jada will be Ryan’s birth mother and Marquis her brother.
Creegan is coming off a season-long arc as Richie Wheatley, Jr., the troubled son of Richie Wheatley (Dylan McDermott) on NBC’s hit series Law & Order: Organized Crime. He also recurred on the first season of OWN’s David Makes Man. He’s next set to shoot a starring role in adventure comedy Good Egg, alongside Andrea Londo, Joel Johnstone and Yara Martinez.
Developed by Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries), Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder/Batwoman. The series co-stars Dougray Scott, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Nicole Kang, Christina Wolfe and Rachel Skarsten. New episodes air Sundays on E4 in the UK.
