Determined to give us all nightmares, Universal Pictures has today released two new TV spots for M. Night Shyamalan’s Old.
The film is based on the original graphic novel Sandcastle, written by Pierre Oscar Lévy and Frederik Peeters, for which Peeters also provided the artwork. Sandcastle, published back in 2010, is set on a beach on France’s Mediterranean coast and stars three families who find themselves trapped on the beach as inexplicably age.
The official synopsis from Universal reads:
This summer, visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan unveils a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day.
You can watch both new spots below:
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Old stars stars Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell, Ken Leung, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Abbey Lee, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Embeth Davidtz, Eliza Scanlen, Emun Elliott, Kathleen Chalfant and Thomasin McKenzie. The film is due in UK cinemas on July 23, 2021.
