New listings on the DC Comics press website have revealed that HBO Max’s Peacemaker will debut its first three episodes on January 16, 2022. We also have confirmation of the episodes titles.
The WarnerMedia streaming service has yet to comment on the news. But it is expected that the remaining five episodes in the eight episode season will roll out weekly.
Confirmed titles so far are as follows:
- 1×01 A Whole New Whirled
- 1×02 Best Friends Never
- 1×03 Better Goff Dead
While details about Peacemaker are being kept under wraps, the series will explore the origins of the character that Cena will play in the upcoming film, a man who believes in peace at any cost – no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The series will extend the world that Gunn is creating for The Suicide Squad movie, which is scheduled to be released in theaters by Warner Bros. Pictures on August 6, 2021.
Peacemaker, written and produced by James Gunn, stars John Cena, Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Chris Conrad, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lochlyn Munro, Annie Chang and Christopher Heyerdahl.
