2022 is going to be a huge year for DC Comics. Outside of the companies huge publishing and TV slate there are a number of high profile movies on the way. With The Batman, The Flash and Aquaman all returning to the big screen and the debut of Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam it’s going to be a busy year.
Well Johnson has more than one trick up his sleeve. The actor/producer and all round philanthropist has now confirmed a number of high profile names who will be joining him in the upcoming animated adventure DC League of Super-Pets.
“Ladies, gents and children of ALL AGES it’s my absolute pleasure to 🔥INTRODUCE🔥
our star studded @DCLeagueOfSuperPets cast playing our league of two and four-legged heroes and villains!” said Johnson in a caption accompanying the film’s short teaser.
Along with Johnson, DC League of Super-Pets will also star Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne, Diego Luna and Keanu Reeves. Hart will be voicing Ace the Bat-Hound, but the rest of the cast’s roles are undisclosed for now. Still, simply knowing who will be appearing in it should give us plenty to bark about.
Along with his voice role, Johnson’s Seven Bucks production company will be producing DC League of Super-Pets. The movie is directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine, features a screenplay by Stern and is produced by Patricia Hicks, Stern, Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia. John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and Nicholas Stoller are executive producing.
DC League of Super-Pets is set for release on May 20, 2022.
