Westworld‘s Lisa Joy makes her feature film directing debut with Warner Bros. Reminiscence. After facing a few delays, Warner Bros. has finally given the upcoming film a brand new release date. Audiences will now be able to dive into the enigma that is Reminiscence in cinema or through HBO Max from August 20th.
If you were hoping to escape to the cinema this summer, Reminiscence may just be the film for you. Hugh Jackman’s Nick uses the ability to relive memories to help his clients but when someone’s memory implicates his lover in a series of violent and brutal crimes, Nick must take a trip down memory lane to uncover the truth about the woman he loves.

Here is the official synopsis:
Nick Bannister (Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, navigates the darkly alluring world of the past by helping his clients access lost memories. Living on the fringes of the sunken Miami coast, his life is forever changed when he takes on a new client, Mae (Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister fights to find the truth about Mae’s disappearance, he uncovers a violent conspiracy, and must ultimately answer the question: how far would you go to hold on to the ones you love?
Sounds pretty interesting, doesn’t it? Reminiscence stars Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton, Daniel Wu, Cliff Curtis, Natalie Martinez, Brett Cullen and Teri Wyble.
