We have been waiting for an anime adaptation of Komi Can’t Communicate for quite sometime. So have the fans, actually. Well, the hit manga series written by Tomohito Oda is finally getting the anime adaptation it deserves. That’s right, Komi Can’t Communicate is coming to Japan this October and we can’t wait. The series was announced yesterday along with an adorable poster and teaser.
Feast your eyes on the wonderful poster:
The manga series follows Komi Shouka (voiced by Koga Aoi) who, funnily enough, has trouble socializing with other people. However, Hitoshi Tadano (voiced by Kajiware Gakuto) is somehow able to understand her despite her silence. Together, the pair set off on a journey to help Komi make 100 friends. You can expect plenty of laughs, adorable moments and definitely moments that we’ll all be able to relate to. Lets face it, talking to new people can sometimes be hard.
The series will be animated by OLM, the studio behind Pokémon, and directed by Ayumu Watanabe and Kazuki Kawagoe. The manga series is incredibly sweet so we’re so happy to finally see it in animated form. Unfortunately not much is known about its Western release but we’ll be sure to let you know when and where you can watch Komi Can’t Communicate.
For now, you can check out the teaser trailer below.
