Star Trek: Discovery has paused production in Toronto for 2 weeks due to the potential exposure of Covid 19 of one of the team working in Zone A of their production. The news was reported earlier today by The Hollywood Reporter.
The alleged interaction happened between the member of the Zone A team and an individual not associated with the series who has tested positive for the virus, the interaction took place away from the Pinewood Studios set and no other members of the production team are thought to be affected.
Positive cases of COVID-19 infections have been on the increase throughout Canada amid a third wave, though many films and TV shows have continued production in Vancouver, Toronto and other cities, with the implementation of rapid testing.
Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green, as Captain of the USS Discovery after her promotion in season 3. The 4th season will premiere later this year.
