Following Lucasfilm’s announcement that Phoebe Waller-Bridge has joined the cast, Deadline is reported that Mads Mikkelsen is the latest actor to join Indiana Jones 5.
The film is set to be directed by Logan‘s James Mangold and it was recently confirmed that original composer John Williams will return to score. Plot details are currently being kept heavily under wraps but given his track record we have a hunch that Mikkelsen may well be playing the villain!
Whilst we doubt he needs any introduction, Mikkelsen has appeared in the titular role in the Hannibal TV series. He has also had roles in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, 007 adventure Casino Royal and most recently he starred in Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking.
Disney and Lucasfilm currently have the film set for a July 29, 2022 release.
