Warner Bros. in the US has confirmed it is delaying the release of Mortal Kombat by one week. The film, which is set to drop simultaneously in theatres and on HBO Max, will now release on April 23.
The movie is believed to be to allow Godzilla vs. Kong, which his theatres and HBO today, more time to perform at the box office. With the US set to lift more restrictions in the near future, Godzilla has the chance to dominate for a number of weeks following its impressive $120M+ international launch.
