Obi-Wan Kenobi, the new Disney+ series starring Ewan McGregor as the iconic Jedi Master, will begin shooting in April. The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. After Kenobi faced his greatest defeat and the downfall of his best friend, Anakin, the esteemed Jedi Knight retreated. What has he been up to? Well, we’ll find out very soon.
After months of waiting, we finally have an official announcement regarding the cast.
Ladies and gentlemen, say “Hello There” to the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader.
Some fans of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith may recognize two additional names on that list. Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will be reprising their role as Luke’s Uncle and Aunt, Owen and Beru. It’s currently unknown who the other members will be playing. We’re hoping that once production begins, the mystery behind the series will begin to unravel.
