Following the debut of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max fans have been clamouring for news on the film’s viewing figures. Now Deadline has revealed what they believe to be the number of households tuning in to the streaming platform between March 19th-21st.
According to the trade, 1.8M HBO Max households watched the film for at least its first five minutes over the premiere weekend of March 19-21. That figure ranks behind the 2.2M U.S. households who watched Wonder Woman 1984 on the streaming platform over December 25-27 last year.
Statistics showed that the diversity breakdown for Snyder Cut households were Black (+17%), Hispanic (+20%), and Asian (+18%) demos which over-indexed. Of the 25 largest markets, the most over-indexing were San Francisco (+67%), Sacramento (+33%), and Los Angeles (+32%).
Though the Snyder Cut was bested by Wonder Woman it managed to top the debut of Disney+’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. That series was watched by 1.7M households and stands as the biggest opening for Disney’s streaming platform to-date.
