Well we have to admit we missed this one during all the Justice League excitement this week. It has been reported that Warner Bros. is developing a new movie projected based on the character of Hourman.
As first reported by Deadline, WB and DC Films are working with the screenwriting duo of Gavin Games and Neil Widener on a script. The character was created Ken Fitch and Bernard Baily back in 1940 and he would go on to become a mainstay of the Justice Society of America.
The first version of the character was named Rex Tyler and made his debut in the pages of Adventure Comics #48. Most recently the character has been updated for a role in the DC Universe and CW series Stargirl. That version of the character, played by Cameron Gellman, will be seen in the series upcoming second season in summer 2021.
No word yet on a production or release schedule for the film. But stayed tuned for more on this as it develops.
