Chaos Walking is only a few weeks away. After what feels like a lifetime of waiting, fans will finally be able to escape to New World. Only on New World will you be able to discover The Noise and the dark secrets that plague the planet. In anticipation for its release, we got our hands on some really cool interviews with the castof the film and the author of the highly praised trilogy which the film is based on.
You can check out all of the additional interviews here, but we thought we’d show you some of the highlights from Daisy Ridley who plays Viola, Mads Mikelsen who plays the cunning Mayor of Prentisstown, and the author Patrick Ness.
You can watch them below:
First up is the brilliant author Patrick Ness who wrote the Chaos Walking series. The popular series consists of three incredibly exciting books that confront the sci-fi genre in an entirely new way. First you have The Knife of Never Letting Go (2008), then The Ask and the Answer (2009), and finally Monsters of Men (2010). If you want to fully explore New World and The Noise, we highly recommend giving them a read.
Next up is the wonderful Daisy Ridley who plays Viola. In Chaos Walking , Viola crash lands on New World and is on a mission to reconnect with her people. With the help of Todd (Tom Holland), the pair embark on a journey to get Viola home while evading Mayor Prentiss and his forces.
Finally, we have the big bad himself- Mads Mikkelsen. David Prentiss is the Mayor of Prentisstown and with his cunning presence and manipulative demeanor he keeps the citizens of Prentisstown in check. Let’s just say that he isn’t fond of those who rebel against him.
For new fans who are eager to learn more, you can check out the official synopsis for Chaos Walking.
In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the Noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.
