Yesterday the review embargo for HBO Max’s Zack Snyder’s Justice League lifted allowing critics to have their say on the remade movie. With the theatrical version resting it at a less than stellar 40% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes all eyes were on Zack Snyder’s completed vision to see how it stacked up.
At the time of writing, with 105 reviews published, Zack Snyder’s Justice League has a very respectable score of 75% fresh with a critics consensus of:
Zack Snyder’s Justice League lives up to its title with a sprawling cut that expands to fit the director’s vision — and should satisfy the fans who willed it into existence.
Whilst some critics point to the film as being overly long and self-indulgent, many picked up on Snyder’s cut really being a product for the fans. We’ll be releasing our written review tomorrow alongside a lengthy podcast discussion on the film.
