With a few teases from Junkie XL about his upcoming Justice League soundtrack, Tom Holkenborg has decided to give fans something from another upcoming project. Godzilla vs Kong is ready to take the world by storm. In just a few weeks, we’ll be able to sit and watch the colossal titan’s battle it out in a fight for survival and dominance. Ever since the announcement of Junkie XL’s involvement, we have eagerly been waiting for a snippet from the Godzilla vs Kong soundtrack.
We were pleasantly surprised with the release of two full tracks as well as two different visuals. The first track is called “Skull Island” which is Kong’s theme.
The other track is called “Penscaola, Florida” which is Godzilla’s mew theme. It actually incorporates a bit of Godzilla’s original theme so it will be interesting to see if any tracks and motifs carry over from Bear McCreary’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters soundtrack.
What do you think of the two tracks? Which one is your favourite? Godzilla or Kong’s. Let us know in the comments. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any other tracks as well as the full soundtrack. We can’t wait to hear what else Junkie XL has come up with.
Godzilla vs Kong is set be released on HBO Max on March 31st. UK fans will be able to rent Godzilla vs Kong at home from April 1st. While it isn’t the cinema experience that the film deserves, at least we can all enjoy it with only a small delay.
