As it’s starting to look more and more likely that this lockdown will continue for the foreseeable more studios are looking at their releases with Parmount the latest to move its big release, John Krasinski’s blockbuster sequel A Quiet Place 2 will now release September 17th instead of the originally planned April release window.
So it looks like A Quiet Place 2 will be added to an ever increasing list of big blockbusters that have been moved due to the pandemic, big names such as the next Bond installment No Time To Die and Ghostbusters:Afterlife along with many more moving out of the Spring release window and moving to a more hopeful later in the year release.
It will remain to see what will be the future effect on film releases going forward with the ones that do release not doing as well as planned such as Wonder Woman 1984 failing to fully take off at the box office.
A Quiet Place 2 starring Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe will release September 17th 2021
