Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon will be heading to the theaters on March 5th, 2021. However, the company announced that their upcoming animated feature will also be released as a Premier Access title on Disney+ on the same day.
What is important to note here is that Premier Access on Disney+ is not free for account holders. Mulan, for example, costed £19.99. With this in mind, it is highly likely that Raya and the Last Dragon will receive a very similar paywall.
To announce the news, Disney also shared a brand new poster for their new film.

“Long ago, in the fantasy world of Kumandra, humans and dragons lived together in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well.“
Raya and the Last Dragon will debut on Disney+ and arrive in theaters on March 5th, 2021.
