Disney+’s Hawkeye is now in production with set photos turning up on a near hourly basis across social media. But with the cast out in the open, Variety has confirmed a number of names we can expect to see crop up.
Top of that list is the confirmation that Florence Pugh will be reprising the role of Yelena Belova. A character who will first be introduced to audiences in 2021’s Black Widow.
Pugh joins the returning Jeremy Renner, obviously, and the now confirmed Hailee Steinfeld who, after months of speculation, is playing Kate Bishop.
Joining them will be Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton, Farmiga will be taking on the role of Kates mother whilst Dalton will play Hawkeye’s mentor, Jack Duquesne.
Additional casting includes Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, aka the deaf heroine known as Echo. Fra Free will portray Kazi with Variety speculating that his role is a version of Clown/Kazimierz Kazimierczak.
Zahn McClarnon also co-stars as William Lopez, Maya’s father, with trades believing this is possibly a new version of Willie “Crazy Horse” Lincoln.
Production on the series continues ahead of a planned 2021 release.
