Take this one with a pinch of salt for now, but it seems that Black Widow will not be the last we seen of Yelena Belova. A number of sources, including The Direct, are reporting that Florence Pugh will be reprising the role for Hawkeye.
The series, which is set to hit Disney+ in 2021, is currently in production. The size of Pugh’s role in the series is not yet clear but Belova is expected to “don a Ronin-inspired costume” according to rumours.
Given Clint Barton’s connection to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow it makes sense for him to come in contact with Belova at some point. Rumours persist that the Black Widow movie will see Pugh’s character take over the mantle following Natasha Romanov’s passing in Avengers: Endgame.
An official update on Pugh’s status in the MCU is expected after the highly anticipated (and much delayed) release of Black Widow in May 2021.
