It’s come to light that STX Entertainment’s pandemic thriller Songbird, produced by Michael Bay, will be skipping cinemas. Instead the film will be going direct to PVOD platforms in the US from Friday, December 11.
Songbird was one of the first Hollywood productions to get off the ground following restrictions put in the Los Angeles area to protect cast and crew from Covid-19.
STX acquired the rights to the film back in August and debuted the film’s trailer (below) only a few weeks ago. No news yet on whether the film have a similar release map in the UK, as yet.
