When we last saw the God of Thunder he was leaving his people behind and heading off to the stars with the Guardians of the Galaxy. So it makes sense that at least one of the GotG crew will show up in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
Variety is reporting that Chris Pratt has officially signed on to continue the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest bromance. We don’t yet have any news on how sizeable his role will be, but given that Thor ended Avengers: Endgame alongside Starlord he should certainly have a role similar to Mark Ruffalo in Thor: Ragnarok.
The latest Thor film is set to begin production in Australia in January, with Taika Waititi returning as director. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson joins Waititi as co-author for the Love and Thunder script. The Oscar-winning filmmaker will, of course, also voice the boulder-bodied Kronan warrior Korg for the latest instalment.
Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman, Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to arrive in cinemas on 8 February 2022.
