Sony’s latest State of Play presentation dived straight into the upcoming Demon’s Souls remake. The gameplay gave us a brilliant look at what we can expect in FromSoftware’s first installment in the Souls series. Demon’s Souls originally came out on the PlayStation 3 in 2009.
Check it out the PlayStation gameplay below!
Some very interesting bits to highlight. One, the game offers a newly improved and updated customization system which offers the user a wider range of options when it comes to building their character. Two, the entire soundtrack has been reworked with a huge orchestra offering a more cinematic and epic experience. Three, the game will come with over 180 videos to help users that are in need of help and a push. Don’t feel embarrassed about using these guides. The Souls games are notoriously hard and for new players these guides will help make the experience even more enjoyable.
Players will also be able to enjoy the experience in 60fps via the Performance Mode or in native 4k at 30fps via the Cinematic Mode. Gavin Moore elaborated on these modes over at Polygon last week.
“We did two different modes in the game: cinematic mode which is a native 4K, which looks stunning, at 30 frames per second; and performance mode, so you can play a dynamic 4K at 60 frames per second. That is going to give you smoother animation is going to give you a little of that edge [in combat].”
The Standard and Physical Edition of Demon’s Souls will set you back £69.99 while the Online Deluxe Edition will cost £89.99. Which Edition will you be getting? Let us know in the comments. Demon Souls will be released on November 12th. Prepare to die many many many times.
