Del Rey has announced that the next installment in Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy will be released on May 4th, 2021. Just in time for Star Wars day. May the Force be with you Thrawn fans!
I am a massive Thrawn fan so this is excellent news. While part of me is disappointed that Thrawn’s fate is still unknown, I am happy to accept any Thrawn content. Books, comics, figures. Yes please.

Thrawn’s latest triumph still rests newly on his shoulders. On top of that, Del Rey has teamed up with Out of Print to bring Star Wars fans some exclusive goodies. Fans can rush to own a collector’s edition version of Chaos Rising which comes with a new cover designed by Illustrator Magali Villeneuve. Each copy in this limited run of 750 will be signed by Timothy Zahn.
You’ll also be able to pick up a t-shirt with Zahn’s cover of Heir to the Empire (Thrawn’s first appearance) printed on it.
