Fresh from his intergalactic battles in Star Wars Oscar Isaac is set to move across to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to star as Moon Knight in an upcoming Disney+ series.
Moon Knight, aka Marc Spector, is a mercenary who has numerous alter egos, cab driver Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant. But later he was established as being a conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. Most recently, the character was a consultant who dresses in all-white and goes by the name Mr. Knight.
As yet there is no director on board but they have secured the services of Jeremy Slater who wrote and developed Netflix series The Umbrella Academy, Slater will lead the writing team on the series.
With the Poe Dameron character looking to have run it’s course now Isaac won’t be sad in the sideline for too long his time as he has a number of films set for release that include the Paul Schrader thriller The Card Counter as well as Denis Villeneuve’s epic Dune.
As yet there is no set date for release or even when filming will begin, but with Disney+ seeming to be going all out on new series it will only be a matter of time before we get official dates.
