The PlayStation 5 isn’t that far away now. We’ve had a lot of exciting news regarding upcoming games. However, one of the games that caught my attention the most was Demon Souls. As someone who has only played the Dark Souls series and has also been absolutely punished as a result, my desire to go back to Souls’ roots heightened after every death and after every painful Boss encounter. There were many of them. Oh so many.

The FromSoftware games are notoriously difficult. Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and the upcoming Elden Ring. These games will punish you for every mistake and blunder you make. However… they will transport you to a complete unique and mesmerizing world full of the most hideous creatures and supported by an immersive mythology… that I still don’t understand, sorry.

Having the opportunity to go back and play Demon Souls is very exciting. For me it will be a brand new experience. For others it will be a nostalgic journey. Demon Souls is due out on November 12th and the official PlayStation blog announced a brand new edition.

    The Digital Deluxe Edition

This Deluxe Edition is exclusive to online shoppers and can be pre-ordered here. So what does this edition come with? Here is a rundown of everything you’ll get if you pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition.

    • Full game
    • Legendary Hero Soul
    • Renowned Warrior Soul
    • Storied Warrior Soul
    • Red-Eye Knight Armor
    • Boletarian Royalty Armor
    • Ritual Blade
    • Hoplite Shield
    • Ring of Longevity
    • Preservation Grains
    • Phosphorescent Grains
    • Bearbug Grains
    • Large Hardstone Shard
    • Moonlightstone Shard
    • Original soundtrack

Any pre-order from PlayStation Store comes with a Reaper Scythe weapon. The Reaper Scythe is a pole weapon with a curved blade on one end that is so sharp that they say it can sever your soul from your body. It can mow down many targets in a single blow. But is difficult to handle and requires both strength and dexterity to use.

The Standard and Physical Edition of Demon Souls will set you back £69.99 while the Deluxe Edition will cost £89.99. Which Edition will you be getting? Let us know in the comments. Demon Souls will be released on November 12th in North America and Japan, and November 19th in Europe. Prepare to die many many many times.
