Though, at first, it seemed Zack Snyder was going to be able to complete his cut of Justice League using all his original footage it seems that is no longer the case.
THR has confirmed that October will see members of the League reunite in order to shoot new scenes for the film’s 2021 release on HBO Max.
The site is reporting that Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher. The cast is reuniting for a shoot which is rumoured to take place over “a week-or-so.”
Fisher is set to appear despite his high profile battle with Warner Bros./WarnerMedia over his treatment on the set of Justice League reshoots at the hands of Joss Whedon.
The same piece claims that Fisher is still in talks to return for an appearance in The Flash. Cyborg has long been rumoured to be part of the film with THR calling it a “three-scene appearance” for which Fisher’s team is demanding triple his initial fee.
The nature of the Justice League re-re-shoots is yet to come to light. Whether the actors will be suiting up or filming as their non-costumed alter-egos will remain a mystery for now…
