Another of Hollywood’s major productions to get shut down by the Coronavirus pandemic was Paramount Pictures Mission: Impossible 7.
The crew had been working on principal for a number of weeks when the shutdown happened. But there is still plenty of work left to do on the as-yet-untitled seventh film in the franchise.
Paramount had previously confirmed release dates for both the seventh and eighth film in the franchise. With Mission: Impossible 8 due for release in November 2022 it had been expected that both would film back-to-back.
Both films are being directed by franchise veteran Christopher McQuarrie who over the weekend confirmed that the cameras are once again rolling. Of course this being a Tom Cruise picture, they wouldn’t announce that cameras were rolling with any old image.
As you can see from the Instagram post below, captioned “Action… #MI7 Day 1” the crew is preparing to film what looks like a rather spectacular action sequence!
