The CW rebrands the ARROWVERSE in brand new promo

The CW releases a brand new promo for its slate of DC COMICS series rebranding them THE CWVERSE in the wake of Arrow’s end.

With Arrow in the rearview mirror, The CW has released a new promo in the hope of rebranding its shared universe of DC Comics series. The so-called Arrowverse shall henceforth be known as the CWverse.

The brand new promo (below) brings together the likes of Stargirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman, Black Lightning and the upcoming Superman & Lois against a backdrop of comic book imagery.

The move away from the Arrowverse title is the beginning of the network looking to future proof its universe. With Stargirl becoming a CW exclusive show in season 2 and Batwoman bringing in a new lead, 2021 is going to be a transformative year for the near decade old franchise.

The newly minted CWVerse will not be returning to screens in 2020 as the global pandemic keeps productions from restarting. Each of the shows will return in 2021 with new episodes.
