Unlike most PlayStation console launches, there will actually be two different versions of it available right at launch. There will be the standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive, and there will also be a PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. Unlike the PS4 Pro, the PS5 (model with disc drive) will be able to play 4K Blu-ray movie discs.
Additionally, a wide variety of accessories that will accompany the PlayStation 5 console were also unveiled. One accessory that I am very excited about is the PULSE 3D Wireless Headset. I have owned both models of the PlayStation Gold headset for PS4, and I love it. That’s why I know that one can’t go wrong going by the looks of the PULSE 3D Wireless Headset. I think it’s also interesting how Sony is going back to the “PULSE” brand – “PULSE” was also the name of a headset that was made for the PS3, and was later made compatible for the PS4.
Another accessory that was announced for alongside the main PS5 hardware, was the media remote. I always buy the media remotes for any PlayStation console that I own, and I think it’s great how unlike previous years, the remote was announced alongside the console itself.
Lastly, the DualSense Charging Station was also unveiled during the PS5 event!
Furthermore, lots of games that will be on PS5 were announced today. Popular titles include Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Stray. One title that I’m really excited about is Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and I’m interested in seeing if any characters from the first game will reappear. I love it when characters in video games fight alongside one another, so I think it would be really cool if Miles ends up fighting alongside Peter Parker in certain parts of the game.
