Some huge news for Star Wars fans today as Disney has confirmed that the final film in the Skywalker Saga, The Rise Of Skywalker, is coming to Disney+ much sooner than we had anticipated.
The final film in the saga had been expected to arrive of Disney’s flagship streaming service in July but the House of Mouse has confirmed it will now arrive, very aptly we might add, on May 4.
As of May 4, 2020 Star Wars fans will have access to the complete Skywalker Saga alongside Clone Wars and plenty of other Star Wars content via the streaming platform.
May 4 will also see the debut of a new documentary series delving behind the scenes on The Mandalorian with executive producer Jon Favreau. Favreau will break down each episode alongside the filmmakers and the actors who took part in the making of The Mandalorian season 1.
The Rise of Skywalker sees the return of Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix).
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) will also all return to reprise their iconic roles from previous films.
The late Carrie Fisher appears via previously unreleased archive footage.
