Tonight, DC Universe and partners The CW have unveiled new key art and episode stills for the upcoming premiere of Stargirl. The series was recently announced to shift its premiere date back to May 18 on DC Universe with the pilot episode airing 24hrs later on The CW.
Today DC has confirmed major casting for the Geoff Johns helmed series, confirming the heroes and villains who will appear alongside Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl.
The cast includes:
- Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E – Luke Wilson (“Old School,” “Idiocracy”)
- Yolanda Montez/Wildcat – Yvette Monreal (“Matador,” “Faking It”)
- Barbara Whitmore – Amy Smart (“Just Friends,” “Varsity Blues”)
- Sylvester Pemberton/Starman – Joel McHale (“Community,” “Ted”)
- Beth Chapel/Dr. Mid-Nite – Anjelika Washington (“Tall Girl,” “Young Sheldon”)
- Rick Tyler/Hourman – Cameron Gellman (“Heathers,” “20th Century Women”)
- Ms. Brooks/Tigress – Joy Osmanski (“Santa Clarita Diet,” “Dead Night”)
- Dr. Henry King/Brainwave – Christopher James Baker (“True Detective,” “Ozark”)
- Jordan Mahkent/Icicle – Neil Jackson (“Welcome to Marwen,” “Absentia”)
- Dr. Ito/Dragon King – Nelson Lee (“Blade: The Series,” “Mulan (2006)”)
- Crock/Sportsmaster – Neil Hopkins (“Lost,” “The Good Wife”)

DC Universe members will be the first to stream new episodes, every Monday commercial-free in downloadable 4K Ultra HD. In addition to new promo posters, DC Universe has also debuted three new stills from the first episode which you can check out below.
The show stars Brec Bassinger in the title role. Luke Wilson is playing S.T.R.I.P.E., alongside Joel McHale (Starman), Lou Ferrigno Jr. (Hourman), Henry Thomas (Dr. Mid-Nite), and Brian Stapf (Wildcat). Neil Hopkins (Sportsmaster), Joy Osmanski (Tigress), and Nelson Lee (Dragon King) will portray members of the Injustice Society.
