In amongst all the doom and gloom we have some good news coming from the MCU. Tom Holland has confirmed that his third Spider-Man movie will begin shooting in July of this year.
The actor is currently on the promotional circuit for Disney Pixar’s Onward (reviewed here) with the press clearly interesting in when he will be putting the spandex back on. During an interview with The Philippine Daily Inquirer Holland shared that he’ll slip back into his Spidey suit this summer.
“I’m super happy about it,” said Holland. “We will be shooting Spider-Man 3 in July in Atlanta.”
During the interview Holland also confirmed that co-star Zendaya will be returning for more adventures as MJ as Peter goes on the run following his encounter with Quentin Beck. Whatever comes next for the wallcrawler, Holland promise it will be “absolutely insane”.
Director Jon Watts returns to direct Spider-Man 3, the film is due for release July 16, 2021.
